Among many requests/complaints, I've decided to relent and blog again. I'm really enjoying Facebook but many of you are unable/unwilling to join, soooo....
Quick update: Most of the two families are sick with cold/flu/URI. Heather's sicker than the rest of us, of course. I was hoping to escape with a small cold, but looks like it's going to hit my lungs after all (I've fought the good fight for five days and thought I'd beat it). Oh well. Welcome to winter!
Heather appears to be doing well in school (as you can read on her blog http://2homeschool.blogspot.com/). She says she's enjoying it a lot. All the kids are growing like weeds, including Jake in Texas.
I bought a sewing machine and have been making clothes for the little ones (three dresses for AnnaBell). I'm working on PJ's for Jonathan at the moment.
My Needleworks group here at the Lake decided to show some of us how to quilt, so now I'm hooked. I made one block paper piecing and loved it (see picture of a Christmas tree). Very precise.
Unfortunately, classes don't start until next year. Bad choice of time to get interested, I suppose.I'm taking sewing lessons that came with my machine...today is the third class of four. Learning LOTS. Sewing is so much easier than I remember (Haven't sewn in many, many, many years). Guess the new machines are taking most of the work out of it! Fortunately, I have a wonderful friend, Karen, who's willing to answer my weird sewing questions morning, noon and night to help me get through it!
I'm enjoying Facebook a lot. There's games, gifts to others (little e-mail icon stuff), photo albums, etc. If you use the controls to limit to "friends only", nobody can see site except those you clear.
Well, enough chatter. I'll try and download some pictures now. I think they're pretty self-explanatory. Jake is at a Pee Wee roundup in Ft. Worth earlier this year in this picture, I think.
Hhhmmmm...can't get the pictures I want because they're on my flashdrive. This will take a little work and I'll have to add to this later.
