Scenery snapped by Andrew and George during Flight

Pretty exciting stuff....getting a walk about on this plane.
Pretty impressive pictures snapped by one of the boys during the flight (of what, we have no idea...not Lake California)

Last picture before Grandpa handed them the camera.

Just so you don't get too impressed, they took a few of these "sky" shots, too. Guess it was pretty cool looking to them.

Possibly the fairgrounds, but we're not sure. They flew about 15 or 20 mins., so it was long enough to get there (Anderson).

Very cool shot.
Pretty terrific experience for the boys. I was concerned Andrew might have some 'tummy' stuff since he gets car sick, but apparently not as he did well. See the blog below to see more pics of the kids and the plane.

Young Eagles Adventure 10/31/09

It seems their adventure started with a short flight school, then a walk about the plane.....
Pretty impressive cockpit.

Rog rinsing the mud off the stump.
He said the yard looks like a war zone. He lost one sprinkler but the lawn is probably toast.

The trunk with most of the top clipped.
One of the young men at church came and chopped the trunk up and removed it for Rog. He said the willow makes great kindling because it burns so hot and fast.

Some of the damage...it didn't seem to hurt the underground propane tank.

It looked like a big carpet that had an earthquake hit.
It's take Roger two days to 'clean' it up....although the lawn isn't going to recover. He'll probably have to completely redo the lawn. At least we didn't lose a car or a piece of the house (Thanks, Lord).

So much for our beautiful willow tree.

The pictures don't show the height..about 30'+
We were blessed. It didn't hit people, cars or the house.
Took out the front lawn, too. Unearthed the propane tank.

We have a wonderful neighbor, Steve, who came over in horrible winds and helped Rog chop it up and get it out of the road...another huge blessing.
