Howdy....we're having a nice, busy week around here, so there's been little time to blog. My sister, Jeani, came for a few day's visit. We did some shopping, ate at Red Lobster (not so hot for my weight) and went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Cute movie---unfortunately, with the usual morals. We watched a movie or two on tv, did lots of chatting and had Heather and gang over one night for dinner. Jeani even got to attend church with us on Wednesday night. She said the service was similar to the one she attends in Portola (with even some of the same songs).

I worked Sat. and Sun. in Red Bluff. It was a full moon, so we had the usual scary shifts---falls, aWork. Comp. injury, a dirty needle stick, trouble with the weekend pharmacy and staffing issues. Weekends are QUIET compared to the rest of the week, so I think they had a pip of a week when I wasn't there. Our facility holds 58 people....we were at 58 Sat. morning. We did have one person sent to the acute hospital and two discharge home, but we're still WAY full at 55. It makes for a lot more paperwork than can be done, so I'll be working this week to help out.

Our church had a crusade Fri., Sat. and Sun. night with Rick Green of Wallbuilders. He is a former representative who travels and speaks about our Christian Founding Fathers, patriotism and what our responsibilities are as our freedoms and rights are erroded by the liberalism and anti-God issues sweeping our Country. I was able to attend Sat. night. There is a video on Wallbuilders available to watch on Netflix Instant Viewing for any of you that can see those. During Rick's talk, he asked "Do we have any Marines here tonight?" Andrew's little hand shot up in the air and we all giggled---but he is a Young Marine and entitled to crow. It was the highlight of the speech for this proud Grandma. Rick is also speaking to the citizens to be grateful to our military people and SHOW it by thanking them personally when we see them.
