Wow, time flies! My old computer blew up...took about a week to buy a new one and get it set up. I've gone from a desk-top to a lap top, so there's been some adjustment. I got a new flat-screen monitor out of the deal (and wireless keyboard and mouse), so I am pretty thrilled!
The baby blanket for Sally's daughter, Alice, was a huge success! I'll download the picture if I can figure out how!
Here's the next project....same squares that were knitted for Alice's blanket, but being done in a blanket for Heather in bright colors put together patch-work style. Unfortunately, Alice's blanket was 16 squares....Heather's will probably be about 60! May not finish it for some time! Each square takes about a day to knit (if I'm not doing anything else) and I'm enjoying using all the different colors. I will not enjoy putting it together---that's the hard part!
The last month has been filled with much excitement around here (why I haven't written).
Andrew did boot camp for Young Marines, Andrew went to our church's Kid Camp, George went to Vacation Bible School in Redding, All four grandkids got sick with bronchitis and fevers, Spencer's parents---Pat and Frank---came to stay at Heather and Spencer's for three days while Heather and Spencer went to Medford for Spencer to have Lasix surgery on his eyes! Whew! No wonder I didn't have time to write---I worked a lot and have been helping with laundry since their washing machine blew a motor.
I'll try and send more pictures from boot camp later.
