Hard to believe this is several day's work, isn't it? Each block takes me almost a day to choose fabrics, a day to complete background paper piecing and more time to add the applique. When the quilt is ready to assemble, there will be twelve blocks---each will have to have borders added to make it into a quilt size top...then it will have a couple more layers. When completely assembled, it can be quilted. When it's finally made it to that stage, it can have embellishments added (threads, buttons, beads, etc.) to complete each picture. Since it will take over a year to complete the top, I can't imagine how long it will take to get it "bed ready". Have I enjoyed it?
SOMETIMES but not always! It's been a lot more work than I anticipated.

That is one of the cutest birdhouse blocks yet, good job.
The watering can is the best touch.
